These ripe plantains with butter are ideal to accompany any meal or as a dessert. They are very delicious and soft; you can also add honey instead of butter.
At home, I usually prepare them when the bananas have grown ripe, when their peel begins to be placed with dark spots, if they are fried in slices being like this, they absorb too much butter or oil. So my preferred option is to make them as in this recipe.
I hope you enjoy your ripe plantains with butter or with honey or with cheese. They also taste great.
- 2 ripe plantains
- Sufficient water
- Butter to taste
- Cut the ripe plantains into large portions. They can be in three portions, still in the shell, and place them in a slow cooker over medium heat for about 20 minutes.
- Remove them from the pot and remove the peel. Serve on a plate and add the desired butter on top of these.
